The places you'll go. 4 months ago

I’m only about a week into it, but with my triathlon training I’ve been really feeling in top form, and the best part is I still have a long way to go. I can’t wait to see where all this work takes me.



The definition of Fit 4 months ago

Examining my list, it has occured to me that I didn’t ever really put parameters to this goal. I think that when I put this on my list I figured that I would know when I was “super fit”. Now that I’ve had more time to think about it, I’m certain I’ve come up with my definition. Once I complete several of my other goals that have to do with physical fittness, I will reach my deffinition of “supper fit”. These goals include (in order)swimmming a mile nonstop, start rowing, get a six pack, run regularly, stretch everyday, run a six minute mile, and compete in a triathlon. If I can stratch these off my list, I can stratch this off my list.

**Breaking News: My first triathlon may be Oct. 10th!



Into the groove 6 months ago

I’ve been steady working out for at least two weeks now and it’s going well. At least twice a week I fit the gym and two or three times a week I go to Water Aerobics with my wife. I’m feeling really good, and know it’s just a matter of time and determination, before the results start speaking for themselves.
I still need to make some moderate improvements in my diet, but I’m not far off from that.

The bare essentials of my new get fit routine are as follows:

1) Squats
2) Push-ups
3) Chin-ups/Pull-ups
4) Bicycle crunches

This, along with some good cardio, is my daily routine. Simple and sweet, I’ve done my research and this plan will should make the most efficient use of my time and workout.

I hope to get this, or at least the bulk of this done every morning first thing. This is going to be tough…



Fitness is important 9 months ago

Like anyone else I want to live a healthy life. Of course getting “supper” fit is kind of a nod to my vanity :P. In any case I want to reach a new level of fitness that is consistent with my life goals and also eye candy for my wife ;).
