this spring where drinking mapple sap first time in life! Father made colectors from maple trees just in front of our home- this kind of tree gives sap for 1-2 weeks, when its still cold (4-6 C) and this drink is called “liquid gold” due to its richness of vitamins and minerals, also in ancient times was used instead of sugar cause it has big amount of fructose. When spring brings more warmness, we drink and birch sap- this one started collect last spring (in the pic) (1 tree can give 100 litre in a season, so we present big bottles of it and for friends), though live here beside forest for 7 years constantly, and this garden have over 25 years.. but everybody knows: its better later than never!
