establish permanent garden beds.

This afternoon, I prepared two 4ft X 30ft beds. These will be for corn next May and June. Today I removed the vegetation from these two areas and tilled them. If I can find some hairy vetch and rye seed, I’ll add that, plus I plan to add as much compost and rabbit/poultry manure as possible between now and then.

Now that I’ve established some raised beds, I want to establish a few permanent (non-raised) beds in my garden, just 4ft.-wide-by-however long spots where I can concentrate soil amendments and organic fertilizer and protect the soil from compaction.
