Trappist brews 22 months ago

I’d love to sample a few beers brewed by Trappist monks. Anyone had any experience with these? Any that anybody would recommend (that would be available in the eastern U.S.)?

I attended a fair earlier this week where winning entries in the homebrew category were on display. I spoke to someone involved in a homebrewing organization and got some good tips and inspiration. I’m looking forward to attempting this.
