[sigh] I was in the Army a long time ago (seems like a long time) and in fantastic shape. I let myself really decline and it’s time to climb out of this hole.
I got a new job exactly a year ago that turned out to be incredibly physical, and in the course of the past year I’ve lost 27 pounds without trying (i.e. no extra exercise and no changes to my eating habits).
I feel fit enough now to add the extra effort of walking and weight training (in addition to the physical effort inherent in my work), as well as amending my diet and making healthier choices.
My goal would mean losing 2 lbs. per week (considered a healthy and maintainable pace) for 15 weeks. I can’t wait!
