For starters, merely losing weight on its own is no good. Get a tape measure. Measure your waist, and from there, make sure your waist is slowly shrinking. Then, see if you feel healthy, happy, and energetic. Then, see if your weight is reasonable, based on your age and height. It’s important to do it in this order; BMI is bunk, mostly. This is the most accurate method I have found for making sure you’re making progress.
