I have not posted here in awhile but it does not mean I have not been working on this goal. I have lost about 10 lbs in the last 6 weeks, and I love it.
I have not been doing anything unusual to lose those 10 pounds. Just the regular things that we all know about. I try to exercise 4-5 times a week and each workout session lasts 1-2 hours. I go to the gym, swim in the pool, rollerblade, walk or ride my bike. I try to do different things not to get bored. I eat smaller portions, and I do not eat snacks between the meals. I drink a lot of water (not as much as recommended though), but I try. And I do not eat all the junk we have at work (donuts, ice cream, cookies, etc.)
I would still like to lose 10-15 more pounds to feel really good about myself but I think I am heading in the right direction :O)

Walked on the treadmill for 50 minutes.
Calories burnt: 250
Distance covered: 3 miles
Then I spent half an hour in the swimming pool swimming and just doing a few exercises in the water.
Feeling: fabulous :)

Went to the gym right before it closed tonight. Walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes.

I just came from the gym where I spent 1 hour and 20 minutes.
I did 20 minutes of a stationary bike, 20 minutes of an elliptical machine, and walked 40 minutes on the treadmill. Total calories burnt: 650.
Feelings: tired, but very satisfied with my progress. Looks like my willpower is coming back to me :O)

Results for yesterday, April 24th, 2007:
Spent one hour in the gym. Walked 2.35 miles on the treadmill and burnt 400 calories.
Going to the gym again tonight.
Edited to add: Just came back from the gym. Exercised 1 hour 15 minutes. Walked 2.1 miles on the dreadmill treadmill. Calories burnt total including exercise on other machines: 500. Feelings: very satisfied :O)

Went to the gym at the hotel on Monday. Walked 4 miles on the treadmill, burnt 360 calories. Time spent at the gym: 65 minutes.
I have not done anything for the rest of the week, for my leg hurt a little a few days and on other days I was dead tired after work.
I have just come back from outside where I walked for 1 hour tonight.
I am heading to another state for a week again, and again I am setting up a goal to exercise daily there. The spring is here, my vacation time is approaching (August), and I need, I really need to lose some weight and get fit.

I have just come back from outside. I did 2 hours of brisk walking. I am cooked, but very very satisfied. I would have never been able to walk on a treadmill for 2 hours in the gym, for despite air conditioning it is still hot in there. It is so beautiful outside! It is unbelievable.
I will be working in another state this coming week, and thus will have to stay in a hotel. I do hope there is a gym there, so I do not fall off a wagon with my exercise plan.
Plans for the upcoming week: daily exercise at a gym if there is one in a hotel. I will report back in a week.

Thursday, March 15th: 1 hour in the gym. Treadmill, weights,
sit ups. Total calories lost on the treadmill: 340. Results: everything hurts like hell. No wonder.
Saturday, March 17th: 1 hour in the gym. Treadmill. Calories
lost: 350. Everything still hurts, but the pain is tolerable.
Plans for Sunday,March 18th: Walk outside for an hour or longer.

Tonight I have come up with a few reasons as to why I would like to lose weight and stay in shape afterwards. If these things do not motivate me, then I do not even know what else can. Here they are:
1) I want to do it for my own self. I have no problems with health now, but I bet I will in the future if I do not eat healthy and do not exercise.
2) I am planning a 3-week trip to my home country in August. I have not been there for 1.5 years, and would like to look fabulous when I go there. Food is good in America,but in my home country you do get judged by the way you look. You do get judged everywhere, but I do not think it happens as much in the States.
3) I am planning to attend one of my friend’s wedding in May, and would like to look good.
4) We are planning a girls night out at work. Going to a club is something I have not done in a while. I’d like to buy a cute outfit for that night, and would like to look good in it.
5)I am getting out of my current relationship come the end of April. With that big change in my life, I might as well change a few other things: lose weight, do something different with my hair, etc. Well, you know how it happens. It might sound I am planning to lose weight for that future special someone, but that’s not the case.
I’ll post about my progress soon.

Well, I have not posted here for 2 months. I really need to get back to exercising on a regular basis, and I am starting again tomorrow. Goal for this week:
Gym on Tuesday
Gym on Thursday
Walk outside on Saturday
Gym (or walk outside) on Sunday.
