I didn’t actually get around to doing some meditation until before bed, for one reason or another. It wasn’t the best time to be doing it because I was tired and found it more difficult to focus on the meditation, feeling my mind attempting to process the day with a million and one scrolling thoughts and images. It did make me feel more calm, though.
When I woke up this morning I did some more and was reminded just how calm and centred it makes me feel. I reflected on my daily morning routine last year and wondered how I could ever have arrived at college in the morning awake and ready for the day!! I’m going to make the effort to do 10 minutes every day and try and create a morning routine- perhaps doing my stretches afterwards.

stuck as part of my daily routine, but having reflected just the other day on how I should be nourishing the spiritual side of myself more, I think I’m going to make the effort.
So often I’ve noticed that I’m resistant to becoming quiet and being ‘in’ my body, as if it’s going to tell me something frightening that I don’t want to hear.
Yes…definitely do this tomorrow morning.

I’m on holiday at the moment so I figured now would be the ideal time to make this routine. THe last couple of days I have listened to “Sound of the Bell” with Thich Nhat Han which has a few guided meditations and also a couple of tracks with a bell ringing every 2 minutes to bring your mind back to being focussed. I feel so calm afterwards that I really want to keep this up- what better way to start the day than feeling peaceful from the beginning?
