You need to repeat their name three or more times before you move on. If you can stop and write it down even better. The women in my Code Pink group are Amanda, Ariana, Alison, Sally, Tedy and Sue. Now, I have met them and know who they all are.

I just did it and I am proud of myself... 2 years ago

I emailed the administrator about my lack of remembering the other women’s names in my book club and she wrote me back with their names. Now I can picture them all and won’t forget their names the next time I meet them. Cool!

A question about this goal: I am a new member of a bookclub and only communicate with the facilitor, is it okay to ask her, (send her an email) to tell me the names of the other members because I did not remember who they were when they told me a few weeks ago? I feel embarassed. 2 years ago

Meeting one person and saying their name over and over is okay but,... 2 years ago

what do you do when you meet a whole group of people and you can’t remember the first person’ name?

I have read somewhere that you need to place people’s names in an imaginary file cabinet in your brain by associating that person’s name with some familar items in a room. Or an expression like visualizing a bomb, (or vivid image) to help remember where your car keys are located.

What are other ways to remember someone’s names?

Geo :)
