We have the most comforting deck and entranceway to our condo. We are so close to the landscaping and a big tree outside our front door. My wife bought this condo many years before I moved in, and married her and she has planted many different kinds of live flowers; and we even have hummingbirds visit us. Other than that “pesky” ole mole that keeps digging up the lawn it’s a very peaceful place to just sit on a chair and put your feet up on the deck. I am very proud and love being here in this place! She deserves all the credit for having this beautiful and charming home.

Haven’t gone in almost a month now because of my shoulder that I must of hurt in the weight room but, still here is my Gri Gri, green (long) sling tied in a daisy chain, new climbing harness, carabiners, belay devices, and my old but always comfortable, green climbing shoes. I bought these when I climbed in North Conway, NH on Cathedral Ledge, Frankenstein’s Notch, (wintertime, ice climbing?) and many other peaks that I can’t remember now. Ahh good times!

It’s a simple paperweight in the shape of a valentine but, whenever I see it it reminds me of her love for me and how much I love her. Plus, it’s a Diana original design!
Love,
George :)

In 1997, on my Club Med trip to Playa Blanca Mexico, I went on my first week’s vacation. I went as a present to myself from working many years after my divorce. It was the same year I met Diana. I choose this place because I love climbing and it was the only place that offered rock climbing on a rock wall as well as the other activities. So all week long I would sign up for the rock climbing wall, including the horse back riding, circus trapeze, volleyball, canoeing, etc.
I was not the best climber there even though the French Instructor Jaques, had us climb blinfolded, self belayed, teams etc. It is customary to hand out awards for the day and finally the week. I won many awards that week including one for winning an arm wrestling contest, (that’s another story) and daily ones but, this one was the best one because he told me and everyone there at the awards banquet that, “I choose Jorges’ not because he was the best climber but, because he showed the most heart!” That to me was the best gift I received and never forgot that day and the applause and cheering from everyone there. I didn’t care if it was just a rock, some wood, and two pieces of rope glued on with some paint, this was the most important award I could have received that day and one of my prized possesions. That touched my heart and was the beginning of my road from my depression and therapy.

Except once in Science class we had to bring in interesting newspaper articles and recite them in class.
Many thanks for Kanard and Yrush for inviting me; at the same time! Kanard was first, sorry Vrush :( But, I am here and will present something for the team soon.
Love,
George :)
