I’ve been learning sign for about a year now, and I love it more everyday. I have pretty strong conversational signing ability, my grammar has improved tremendously (for those of you just starting out, be aware that ASL doesn’t follow English grammatical structure) I’m getting faster and more fluid with sign production and measurably more successful with conceptual comprehension. I’m thinking about maybe going into an interpreting program and trying to do this for a living.

4 weeks into my ASL 1 course. Loving it!
I’m enrolled in ASL 1 this semester. I am on course at last!
Registered for ASL courses at the local college. Exciting! I’m thinking signing will also help me with my fine motor dexterity, which needs work, admittedly.
