I have finally reached my final semester—only two month to go! All I have to do now is pass all my classes; I’ve never failed a university course (though I’ve come close), so this shouldn’t bee too hard. I am doing ok so far (solid As in four classes, so-so grades in the other two). My brain is fried after the last couple weeks though, which should explain my short sentences and mediocre writing on here, lol.
I only have four major assignments left:
- Graded participation in Model UN next weekend (DC here I come! Wish me luck y’all).
- Two minor (1500-word) papers
- A major presentation and defense thereof (à la thesis)
- One major (7500-word) paper
Along with those I have 10 big exams, and after that I am DONE! I want to keep my GPA up, but it’s so hard to focus right now; senioritis and indifference are undoubtedly getting the better of me. I’ll keep y’all posted on this.

I’m taking eighteen hours this semester (six courses). Come May I will only need 24 credits to graduate. I do have some AP credits to cash (still haven’t gotten around to it…...) and I’m planning on taking a Spanish CLEP to cover some electives. Ideally, this would bring my hours up to 102 (just 18hrs/6classes short of a degree). The plan is to graduate a semester early in December, but I don’t feel like doing six classes (plus Arabic, which I just feel like taking) in the fall. Therefore, I am probably going to just take three or four classes over the summer and the remaining two or three in the fall. YAy, almost there

Although my performance last semester was less than stellar, I’ve been able to stay on top of everything a lot more effectively this semester. I’m hoping this will make up for spring and bring my GPA back up to where I’m accustomed to it having it.

I guess this is really a huge goal consisting of many smaller goals… If I stay on the ball, though, I’ll be able to graduate a full year early (Spring of 2010)! Of course this’ll require much diligence and hard work on my part… I must stop procrastinating (also one of my goals)!!!

I’m working on my bachelor’s degree in political science and government, my expected graduation year is 2011… Hopefully, by then I’ll be done and ready to pursue my master’s in international relations.
