It’s been weeks since I started my healthy eating plan with Scottish Slimmers, and I’ve lost almost 2 stones (14lbs) already.
I’ve still a long way to go to reach target, but I’m confident about being successful and nothing will stop me!
It feels FANTASTIC to be handing over all my ‘too big’ clothes to charity shops, and wriggling back into that old pair of jeans I just couldn’t throw out.
Clothes shopping is a whole new experience now as I can shop in a greater selection of stores!
I can’t wait til the Summer months now :)

I’m only 3 full days into this Scottish Slimmers plan, but already I feel much better. I am eating the right portions, and not over indulging. I’m going ‘by the book’. Already my jeans don’t feel so tight, and I’m managing to keep positive about it. I can’t wait for the weigh-in on Wednesday…

On Wednesday (10-Oct-07) night, I took the plunge and joined Scottish Slimmers. I paid my joining fee and filled ot a form, then sat through the half hour motivational speech given by the class leader. I then sat through the weighing process, with the cheers and the sighs (nobody is perfect, it would seem!). Then there were four of us left, 2 of whom were re-joining, and myself and another who were newcomers. It was time for me to be weighed and measured…
15st 1lb!!! Ouch! The lady, Lyn, took my measurements height, waist, hips, chest, and shoe size. Then she looked up on a chart for my ideal weight for my height…
I should be approximately 9st 5lbs!!!
I have a long way to go, but I AM DETERMINED to make this work.
Yesterday I went for a swim – 20 lengths. Then I went shopping and spent 30 on a range of healty foods – not an ounce of junk food in sight, and I even bought myself skimmed milk (I will learn to like it!).
I’ve followed the regime to the letter so far – I can have 50 Checks per day. I’ve found that’s quite a lot, but if the book says I can have this or that to total my 50 Checks, then I’ll have it. So long as it’s in the book, and so long as I count its Check value then I can have it.
Wish me luck – I’ll report back on Wednesday (17-Oct-07) to see if I’ve had success…

I went swimming after work yesterday. Felt a little self-conscious walking into the pool area to start with, then I though “so what, I’m here becuase I’m going to lose weight. Let them all stare. They’ll see how I progress!”. It’s an L shaped pool, so I did 36 of the smaller lengths. I’ll aim for 50 tonight when I go. As I get back into the swing of things, I’ll soon feel ready for the full lengths. Small steps for greater achievements! I’m feeling very positive today :)

I just logged into 43 Things for the first time in I don’t know how long, and for the life of me, I can’t remember how long ago I added this goal to lose weight. I can, however, ashamedly admit that I have gotten nowhere fast.
I still weigh 94kg – a whopping 206lbs. And I’m still miserable about it.
I just can’t seem to get out of the rut I’m in! :(
So, I’ve just made a timetable for the gym, and I’m going to do my VERY BEST to stick to it.
I’m also going to take lunch to work every day thus avoiding going to the shop and inevitably buying junk food. And rather than having buttery toast at breakfast, I’ll have cereal.
How difficult can this really be?
My target for the time being is December 14th. I am not setting a target weight. I simply want to slim down so that I can fit into a gorgeous dress that I will buy myself as a treat for my achievement.
