Kitchen is scrubbed, dishwasher is running, and the fridge is clean enough to put food in it once more. Yay!
I’m pretending the living room doesn’t exist unitl tomorrow when everyone’s out of the house and out of my way.
Brr. It was pretty gross. My tea pitcher started to leak everywhere and since it was on the top shelf, the whole fridge was pretty disgusting. And the less said about the incredible expanding baking soda box, the better. Brr, again.
But it’s done! It’s nice to have the house pretty manageable so that more intensive chores like that aren’t just piled on top of everything else.
Hit up my bedroom over the weekend. Pretty much been cleaning the rest of the house by tossing extra junk in there and closing the door. Oops. Finally found the floor, threw away a lot of useless clutter and am psyching myself up to vaccum and dust.
The dish fight continues. I’m so tempted to buy disposable plates and cups, but I can’t stand the idea of throwing so much away. Grr.
Need to mop again, and what do you know, there’s more laundry.
Cleaning the house is easy. Keeping it clean is some Lovecraftian nightmare sometimes.
Cleaned out the microwave. It had gotten really grody.
Did three loads of laundry. Really? Jeez.
Did the dishes.
Threw away a lot of junk and paper bits laying around.
Excavated the dining room table and the living room end table. That was pretty scary, but I found about two bucks in change and my stamps, so yay!
Told everyone it was sandwich night for dinner and took a bath. Heh.
Too many people in a small space is really making it difficult to keep everything in order. Everytime I turn around there’s a new pile of dirty dishes another pile of dirty laundry, and just stuff. Everywhere.
The trickiest part is getting everything (alright, anything) done without waking up the baby. Grr. It’s going to take a slew of new methods and habits to get back into the groove.
