learn to play guitar

I realize I may be a little overly excited here, but… I’M DOING IT!! I’ve only been playing for 2 weeks and my chords are starting to come out clearer every day! Even C!! AND I’m almost at the point where I can change chords with less pause and effort. Oh, how exciting.

I’m sorry… I’ll try to contain some of my excitement.

YIPPEE!! YAHOO!!... oh, it got the better of me again.

Hooray! I actually got a guitar for Christmas, from my ex no less… go figure. At any rate. YAHOO!!! So I’ve been practicing for about an hour everyday. Um… why didn’t anyone tell me how much it HURTS to play guitar? I realize that this is just initial pain as my poor little fingertips get accustomed to playing chords but man… they really hurt! It hasn’t detered me at all though and I’m quite pleased to say that my chords are coming out clearer everyday. I find my only other problem at the moment to be that being a girl and having shorter fingers makes it really hard to clear that first string and not rest on it. Hmm… something to work on.
