Study less - learn more? 4 weeks ago

Like I’ve already written, I’m right now studying as much as I ever can. (Except when I write on this site of course.) So no I’m trying another method – getting my studying more effective. I’ve already read one book on the subject, which pretty much sucked since it was aimed for dyslexians and well, I don’t mind people with dyslexia, I just don’t have it.

I’ve also read half of a book about how to get things done, and it sucks as well. But I’ve got two more books in my drawer and I’ve got high hopes on those two last ones.

Silly thing; 1 month ago

I’m studying like a… a… I don’t know, but it feels like studying pretty much is my life now.

Anyway I still need to study more because I can’t seem to keep up (don’t get me wrong, I keep up better than most people in my class, but I want to do more more more)

Monday is for Maths 3 months ago

Spent all yesterday afternoon solving maths problems. I really don’t get imaginary numbers but if I just accept the rules and skip the understanding-thing, it’s OK. I was two weeks back before monday, now I’m just one day behind!

Also today was meant to be the physics-day, but I honesty can’t solve those problems. I get it when I read but then actually solving problems is a totally different matter. I just keep running downstairs to check the answers on the computer…

Study concentrated 16 months ago

So I’ve written down this vision about how I want my studying to be. OK, that’s like an insane thing to do, but I’ve done it anyway.

1. Always do the homework. On time!
2. Use the three hours of spare time that I’ve scheduled as studytime.
3. Try and finish all the homework on the friday so that the weekend really is some time off from school.
4. Take notes, be active and question a lot on the classes.
5. Read through the notes the day after, then it’s supposed to be easier to remember it later on.

So if I can reach this vision (as if! Studying on weekends is like, essential) I don’t think the amount of time spent is important. Although maybe I should have a time thing too, to make sure I don’t just rush through but really take time to learn stuff…

Well, this year 16 months ago

Is the real test.

Second year of natural science education, upper secondary school (gymnasiet – le lycée, I so hate that there isn’t really any english/american equivalent to that word). Supposed to be really tough.

So I’ll just get studying then. Wish me luck.

It's all 2 years ago

About getting started, right? To be like not to tired/hungry/restless and just get alla the stuff you need and sit down and let it take its time.
Not saying it’s easy to get all these things right and get ‘in the mood’ for studying, often you have to study anyway. But I think the result is better for the times when you really take your time and concentrate.

Study-ish 3 years ago

I study enough to get good grades in most subjects, but I don’t want to study to get grades but to really learn things, and I want to learn more things that I really can have use for.
