Well, maybe I will 2 years ago

I have long avoided the idea of a blog. I have said that it isn’t me. Give me a journal (not working there), give me my own venue that isn’t public (but I check 43 things almost daily), and any other excuse to just not do what I’m called to do. So, earlier this week – I just started a blog. I figured, hey, if no body visits – I’ve still done more writing on any given day than I had done in the past. Life is busy. If my keyboard and I are going to be fast friends, at the very least I’ll collect my thoughts and ideas – and one day my children will have those memories of my writings. They’ll at least be easy to scrapbook – until that book comes to furition.

Writing Matters 3 years ago

I didn’t write my book today or even start a chapter. I wrote 5 family members who recently loss their mother – and I wrote to each person personally. I hope my words will touch their hearts and share memories that I hold dear. I hope that whatever I write each day touches someones life – regardless of the form it eventually takes.

What qualifies? 3 years ago

I write letters to family and friend all of the time. I’ve gotten into this site and I enjoy the level of interaction (just enough but not too much for me!) – even if I just write snipits. My goal is to take the many essays I’ve written on love, life, marriage and friendship into a coherent something or another that people can read. I have shared my essays with many friends and colleagues over the years – but I have bursts of writing and hiatus experiences. I want to be consistent, true to my voice and heard. Here’s to writing something, anything, every day.
