So I found out over the weekend that my scale is broken. But it’s a good kind of broken (if there is such a thing lol). It would seem that the scale didn’t survive the move too well because it was off by 8.4 lbs. Ouch! I know that’s huge but it was off on the right end of the spectrum…turns out I weigh 8.4 lbs LESS than I thought I did!
What a nice surprise…this goals is a measly couple pounds away.
Love IT!♥

End of week 2
And I’ve lost another 2 pounds!
Not as great as week one but it’s still 6lbs in 2 weeks which is great for. I mean have you ever picked up a 5lb bag of potatoes? It’s pretty heavy and I’ve lost that! Yay!

I’m loving this new regimen I’ve chosen.
I’ve lost 4 pounds in the first week!! Yay! I’m even starting to lose track of time when I’m at the gym and I’m starting to feel stronger and I definiely have more energy.
I think what’s helping me is that I allow myself “treats”. On the weekend I bought brand new workout clothes and every day after a workout I take advantage of the massage chairs at the gym and I settle in for a nice 15 minute massage. The perfect way to end a workout!!

I’ve decided that it is important to be active every day. Not just going to the gym every couple days but doing things every day that keep me moving.
Whether that’s going for a walk after dinner to explore my new neighborhood. Trying out new bike trails (when it warms up of course lol). Renting a movie but walking to the video store. Taking clean laundry from the laundry room upstairs right away instead of stopping on the second floor. Little things…but they add up.
www.sparkpeople.com is a great website that helps me stay motivated because I can track and log my progress and chat with other people working towards the same goals.
This little world wide web is fantastic. :)

So by August of 2008 I had completed this goal, surpassed it actually but then I got sick.
My doctor told me to stick primarily to the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast) until after my surgery. Well that meant that I put weight on again because I couldn’t exercise at the rate that I had been because it made me feel worse.
Since my surgery, my eating has (thankfully) gotten back to normal but not the exercise, in the traditional sense anyway. Following my surgery I was stressing about my impending move but the move went well and I got my exercise carrying boxes upstairs. So now that I am settled in, eating properly and have everything back in focus I am prepared to demolish this goal. Yay me, I have never been so determined and knowing that I can do it makes all the difference!

Well, I’ve lost 14 pounds so I’m almost there. And if I were to really think about it I’ve lost more than 14 because I keep going up and down. But those 14 are gone for good… I DON’T WANT THEM BACK!! Wherever they went they are welcome to stay there! heeheehee _

So I’m back at this.
I’m taking special care in what I am eating and working out at the gym 5 to 6 times a week. And what do I have to show for it so far? Well this past week I lost 6 pounds and there’s no more muffin top! Yay, that’s a nice start!

Ok so I’ve almost made it to that 10 pound mark and I’m starting to get a little antsy. I wish that I had the time/money/energy to go to the gym and work out. I think that would definitely help me lose. As it stands right now I’m dying to have pizza and cookies and all things bad.

Ok so this is harder than it sounded like it would be. I’ve started the South Beach diet with tippytoes and it’s really freaking me out a bit.
I’ve never been a huge fan of veggies and trying to cut out all my carbs AND sugar for two weeks is leaving me with this huge blank as to what I am left to eat. So far I’ve been eating a lot of eggs and cheese and pecans (which I am definitely not a fan…giant EWWW to plain pecans!)
Sometimes I get to the point where I feel really weak and a bit light-headed because all I’ve been eating is rabbit food (mainly because that is the easiest thing to take for work).
So if there is anyone with an EASY recipe for something that has no carbs, no sugar, is low-fat and still kinda tastes ok then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know. I need all the help I can get.
