I really prefer learning a language, especially the beginnings from a person who has lived in a country where it’s the first/main language and who speaks it fluently. However, my school fails at having a decent modern languages department and doesn’t even teach Russian, which I want to learn the Cyrillic alphabet with. I guess I’ll just buy workbooks or listening tapes from places and go from there…perhaps night classes.
I think right now however, after 7 years of study, I can read French with few problems and write decently...that’s a step in the right direction, even if my school shafted me in that department.
I think I specifically want to still learn more French, refresh and increase my German, and begin with Russian, Italian, Danish, and possibly Arabic. We shall see.
