gain more certificates

I did a first aid (only 1 day) course which was great fun :) Certificate should be in the post… AND the guy teaching us was the same guy who taught me when I did the first aid component of the bronze Duke of Edinburgh award! Fun stuff :D

Got my certificate for the course I did last Friday – “Newly Unemployed module consisting of the following topics: Local Labour Market, Effective Personal Marketing, Action Plan and Transferable Skills”

The course was really helpful and fun and consisted of (in English) interview techniques, how to build up your confidence again step-by-step, recognising the skills you have and what you can use them for, and being given a pack on CV and cover letter writing! The guy even said we can e-mail rough copies of our CV’s to him and he’ll check em and suggest changes for us :D

... So yeah, pretty awesome and another shiny certificate!

Did both courses in one day. No certificate, but bloomin’ useful for the business!

Not a certificate gained, but I did a facepainting course the other day for work (at The Camp) which went really well and I learnt loads. I never knew it could be so easy and quick! w00p!

I guess it started off in Brownies when I started trying to get as many badges for my sash as possible lol…

1. I got a conservation certificate for a (Guides) weekend at Hautbois House (in Norfolk, possibly 2000) and had great fun learning and working with trees.
2. At school I got my 10x A-C GCSE’s (2004)
3. I got 2x A-levels and 2x AS levels (2007)
4. I then got sent on a “Basic Food Hygiene” course for work (2007)
5. Today I was sent (again by work) on a “3 Hour Fire Safety” course and had oodles of fun learning and seeing it put into practise (2008)
6. Wild and Wonderful Games day course – games to get kids into nature! LOVED every second of it!!! (2009)

I will add to this list as I go on. I set it as a goal on here as I figured I’d like to go on more of these courses to have more skills under my belt, as they are not only good for my CV but also help in everyday life and hobbies. So yes, I’m gonna go for as many courses as I can get that interest me :)
