finish my bachelors degree

Geez, am I still doing this? Yes, yes, I am. But I’m closer to the end now than I am to the beginning. Never mind that I still have a year and a half to go. This summer I’m really feeling burned out. People tell me I should just take summers off, but by taking summers off, I add another year to my grad date. No, thank you! In September, I get to apply for graduation. Seems kind of weird considering the actual fact will still be so far off. Oh well…if it wasn’t for the take-home exam I’m currently working on, I wouldn’t have thought to come here to procrastinate….

...which means I have the weekend to get caught up. Am I really going to whine and grumble for the next 3 years?! Yes! Good things, though, include: Mostly keeping up with the reading and staying well ahead of assignments. Good grades on the assignments done so far, and yes, I’m really learning interesting things. This semester’s courses: Development in Context (infant & child development stuff) and Families in Crisis.

Actually, it’s two classes in Fall & Spring semesters if I can manage, and one class each summer term. I survived my first class and am now tackling two. Working full-time, taking classes through Washington State U’s Distance Degree Program half-time. Feels overwhelming at the moment. Just trying to put one foot in front of the other and move along, not thinking about the fact that at this rate I won’t finish until Dec. 08 (ergh). Wanna go outside and play!
