Get 100 flags on my 43T flag counter

Loving the bright, vivid colors on Moldova’s flag. I didn’t know that Moldova was once part of Romania, then the USSR before getting independence in 1991 (per the CIA World Factbook).

I’m cleaning up in the middle east these days.

I’ve been antsy for Sweden to arrive for quite awhile now. Whenever I think of Sweden, I think of my all-time favorite tennis player and huge junior high crush, Stefan Edberg.

Half-way there!!! I’m getting a lot of flags from the middle east lately. I think my favorite element of this goal is the boost it’s giving my geography skills. I always double-check the map to see exactly where the country is located, and I have to admit I’ve been way off on a few of them.

I absolutely love this flag from Colombia. The colors are so bright and vivid. They feel like a summer day.

I’m intrigued by how similar so many of the middle eastern flags appear to one another. This flag for Jordan is almost identical to Kuwait.

I have to admit, I’ve never been very clear about Hong Kong. Wikipedia tells me it operates under the “one country, two systems” principle which means even though it’s part of China, it has a different political system.

Surprised to see Kuwait show up right after Iraq, makes me wonder if it was the same person.

I believe my visitor stopping by from beautiful Puerto Rico is Beautifuldwarf. I’m glad she stopped by, and I’d love to spend some time on the beaches of Puerto Rico one of these days.

According to Wikipedia this is the current flag for Iraq rather than the flag that appears on the counter. The text reads Allahu Akbar.
