become more social with interesting people

I’m trying to hang out with the people in my knitting group outside of knitting. Having a toddler makes it difficult to do things with couples and sometes I feel like I’m leaving my husband out but I’m trying to figure out how to get around that.

The play group is pretty much a bust, I just haven’t connected with any of the moms and fell very out of place and uncomfortable around them. I feel like I’m back in high school and that’s so not where I want to be at this stage in my life. The knitting group however is completely awsome! I have so much fun there and look forward to every meetup.

I just joined a play group through meetup.com and hopefully that will lead me to some new friends, for myself and my daughter.

Joining a knitting group has really helped me get out of the house and be more social. I’m trying to find a playgroup for my daughter aswell so hopefully that will allow me to meet even more new people.
