Ive gone up to 15lb weight dumbbells in class and still using the weighted gloves through cardio. I’d like to go to two pound gloves but I can’t find any at the moment.
As I see more definition I just want to see even more. I love reshaping my body and I love feeling stronger. I’m not sure what my end result will be but I’m really beginning to get into the journey.

I have started doing the cardio portion of class with weighted gloves on. They are only a pound each so they don’t throw me off but they really make every movement more challenging. I’ve also started to do daily exercises at home. It’s not a lot and it only takes a few minutes in the morning but I feel like I start my day off better when I do them.
Im just starting to see the definition I’m looking for in my arms and shoulders and it’s really encouraging! I know I’m going to have to start tightening up my diet more and doing more exercise at home to get where I want to be but I know I have it in me.
The hard part is dealing with having other people in the house to feed and their schedules to deal with.
To make it even harder the only things my husband ever wants to suprise me with are sweets and junk food. It really blows me away sometimes, the man has watched me struggle for over three years to lose 100lbs and get my body back to where I want it and he still wants to shove cookies down my throat. I could so go off on a tangent here…
I feel like I’m getting stronger every day but I’m still not exactly where I want to be. I’ve gone up on my weights again while working out and I feel pretty good about it but I want to really see the muscle again. I miss having a defined back and shoulders. I miss my arms not having a lag time when I’m done waving. I refuse to settle for the idea that oh well I’m over 30 and a mom I can’t look the way I want to without surgery.
I think I made this one entirely to broad. I am much stronger than when I created this goal, but I’m not sure if I am really where I want to be….
So the question is, do I count it as accomplished now or wait until I feel like I’m at the point I want to be?
I want to feel like I am as strong as I was about 5 or 6 years ago (okay I feel old) back when I was lifting regularly. I do workout regularly now but it’s just not the same. having a toddler makes it hard to spend 2 hours every other day on weights, or well anything that isn’t toddler related.
I picked up my dumbells and felt so wimpy!! They’re only 15lbs and I could only do 2 sets of curls and extentions.
It did remind me how much I used to love to do free weights. I also felt great afterwards. I think I’ll be picking them up more often now.
