I brought the trash dumpster into my bedroom. It is remarkable how quickly one can fill it when it is right there. I had so many things around that were completely useless—-old papers, unopened mail, just plain junk. There weren’t any gut-wrenching decisions, no parting with things I love, just the junk.
Next on the list are the useful things I don’t need. There is a veteran’s charity shop on my way to work, a number of things need to find their way there.
Large, plastic bins have helped immensely with the things I need, but don’t use daily. I just need to commit to moving them from one side of the closet to the other every six months, unpacking each container, purgng it and packing it again, just to be sure that I really need the things I am storing away. I don’t want the bins to become my next bugaboo.
