1. Antidepressants – Seriously. If one is the sort that needs them, they’re great.
2. Cats – This could be on my list several times for snuggling cats, playing with cats, watching cats play, laughing daily at their antics, and taking a break from concentrating intently when they demand that I stop to pet the kitty.
3. Tea

5. Silence
6. Home
7. Baths – while they serve the same purpose as a shower, they are a much better way to start the morning. It is nice to take a few minutes to wake up and relax before tackling the day.
8. Children – The little critters drive me crazy at times, but one has to admire their honesty, curiosity, and innocence. Their nature seems to be essentially good. When they do wrong, it is usually without malice.
9. Boredom (Sometimes) – It beats drama.
10. That strange state between sleep and wakefulness – Occasionally being caught there; aware, but not seeing, hearing, or feeling, just being; and feeling peaceful.
11. Music in a Foreign Language – Words become sounds – music becomes feeling. It allows me to appreciate a voice for its qualities. Sometimes I want to learn what the words mean, other times it is sufficient to come to an understanding without them.
12. Intelligent People – It is joy to talk to them. If I am not at my best today, they don’t jump to unreasonable conclusions, they usually conclude that I am not at my best today.
13. Heating Pads
14. Exercise – When I feel better physically I feel better mentally.
