I first heard about Ruby when I met with Josh Petersen and his colleagues at the Robot Co-op. Everything I’ve heard about the language is not only positive, but passionate. Kathy Sierra, one of my favorite bloggers (and authors), has posted yet another positive and passionate entry about Ruby (and programming in general) to add further incentive. I also recently read Eric Raymond’s How to be a Hacker and Peter Norvig’s Teach Yourself Programming in Ten Years ... and [thus] recognize the value in branching out into new [to me] programming languages.
