thanks, Chris, for the invite.
This goal is specially difficult if your income varies like mine, but maybe even more necessary in this case. Anyway, I managed to save about 15% of my (very small) scholarship in 2007 and it’s helping me a lot now. Maybe I’ll get a “normal” job this year…
- taxes
- insurance, according to your needs
- retirement
- dentists for everyone
- car maintenance, if you have one
- appliance maintenance (I’m the kind of persons who prefers to repair something if it’s just a fraction…)
- back to school stuff, when needed
- Christmas gifts (in moderation)
- birthday gift for my son
- birthday gifts for the parties my son will be invited to (again, in moderation)
- any other kind of celebration (anniversaries,...) or holiday
- Vacation if possible
I know there is too much “fun stuff” on this list, but that’s exactly the kind of stuff I tend to forget. Anyone wants to share?
