Usually, I wouldn’t mention amounts.. but I’m so damn proud of myself!! It may not seem a lot to anyone else, but I have managed to save just over $1000 in my bonus saver account! Woohoo!! And I dont spend down to last $20 in my first access savings account anymore either! Yay!

I drew up a budget, and I split my pay into what to leave in my first access savings, what to transfer to my second access account for bills and what to transfer to my budget saver account (for long term savings).

I feel like a grown up!!

Haven’t even looked at that booklet thingy yet – I’m logging off to do it now (and to cycle for 5 minutes and drink a glass of water..!!!)

Edit: It’s about 30 minutes later and it’s all done (including the cycling) Yay me… finally!!

I used to be so good at this! Now, every thing always works itself out financially, but I’m never prepared.

I have a booklet which sets out all the possible expenses you may have and gets you to break down monthly, quarterly and annual bills to work out how much you need to save each pay period to cover them all.

Hopefully my expenses don’t outweigh my income!
