I met with this dude yesterday. He asked me what I wanted the most right now. And I said that I wanted the house clean. So, he’s gonna help me and my family clean the house.

I cleaned a little upstairs. The only problem is that the stairs are a complete mess. I will have to find a way to clean it all up. Once I clean the stairs, I can bring all the laundry upstairs. Then I can clean the living room. The first step is the hardest part: clean the stairs. I might just rake everything down to the basement. But first I have to find the rake. So much to do!

I asked how to clean the messiest house on the planet on Yahoo! Answers. I got a few decent answers, thank God. I’m just not sure if I will get anywhere because I am the only one that really cleans. Everyone has an excuse. Mom is tired and works full-time, Alex is immature, and Dad does what he wants. Sigh. I will find a way… hopefully. I dunno.

We’ve been cleaning like crazy. I can’t believe how much we got done. I mean, the 2nd cleanest room in the house used to be the dirtiest. I thought we’d never get it clean. Serious. There was rotten food all over and everything. Now all we have to do is vacuum the floor for the third time. I was vacuuming the floor earlier, actually. But it blew a fuse. So we never got to finish. Sigh. But I am glad we finally got started on cleaning. Mostly, the reason we’re cleaning is because my half-brother is gonna be living with us for a while. He’s going to college so. (Mom is going to teach him how to drive. So exciting!) And my grandmother is going to be moving in. She had surgery recently. So, she’s gonna have trouble walking around in her house. That’s why we are planning to have her move in. Yeah… So, that’s pretty much it.

GRRR! Cleaning can be really frustrating. My mom said that as soon as we have our yard sale and the house is clean we can go to Pier 1 Imports. So, I’ve been wanting to clean like mad. But sometimes I am not sure where to put things because they don’t belong to me so I ask someone to help me. The minute I am about to ask Mom and Tirzah for help, they are taking a break from cleaning. When they are cleaning, I am taking a nap. WTF. Why can’t they take their break when I am sleeping or something? I mean, cleaning takes a lot less time when more people are involved. Whatever. I think as soon as they are done their break we can start cleaning the downstairs. I’ll try to stay awake when they are cleaning. Hopefully we will have a clean house by Christmas. I really want a clean house. It’s like the first thing on my list of things I really want (well, I want to meet Daniel Radcliffe more, though). Sigh.

I haven’t been cleaning in a long time. Mom says we’re gonna have a yard sale. I hope we’ll be selling a bunch of stuff because we have, like, WAY too much stuff. So, I hope everything works out. We’ve never had a yard sale before..

I recently went to a Pier 1 Imports store…It had some really nice furniture. And the whole time I was there I was thinking: ‘If we didn’t have so much stuff, we could buy all this crap!’ (BTW, I really liked the crap at Pier 1 Imports. They have some really nice stuff!) The thing is: it’s depressing trying to clean when there is nowhere to put ANYTHING! We really just need to get a bunch of boxes, fill them up with ‘stuff’ we don’t want, and put them in the basement! Then, we can start cleaning… One of the big problems about cleaning MY house is that my sister can’t clean… It’s like every few seconds I have to pick up after her… But if I really want the house to stay clean then I guess it shouldn’t bother me!

Here’s the plan for today:

1. Mom’s gonna clean the laundry and dishes since that’s all she really knows how to clean.
2. I will start with the living room. I will go straight to the dining after that. While I am cleaning I will put stuff we don’t want/need into a box to put in the basement!
3. Alex won’t clean…
4. Dad will probably clean the master bedroom.
5. If Mom finishes the dishes or wants to take a break she can clean the computer area.
6. I will clean my room if I have no idea what to do with all the stuff in the living room and dining room.

I hope this works.

I’ve been cleaning all day…I cleaned most of my mom’s room and some of the kitchen….It’s not much but you can see a BIG difference. I think I will continue to clean my mom’s room since I am getting so much done. This is a big step. Actually, my grandparents came over and did a little work, too. My Grammy folded some clothes and POP-POP did some cleaning in my mom’s room. As soon as we’re done cleaning mom’s room we are going to rearrange it. It’ll probably take a little while to do that. The bed is going to be on the other side of the room and the big wood shelf is gonna be moved to the dining room! That means we’re gonna have to move the dining table somewhere else!...Yeah, very complicated. But dad has it all planned out. I think it’ll all work out great. If Mom, Dad, and I work together to rearrange the furniture (my sister isn’t planning to help!) it will be done in no time. But I shouldn’t forget about cleaning FIRST and THEN rearranging….I should get to work!

I hate this goal…especially when my mom is a procrastinator. And my dad can’t walk that well…So, it’s up to me and me alone…My sister won’t help me…She doesn’t even know the definition of clean…OMG! I am so pissed right now. My family never cleans. It’s up to me to clean the house. I think that’s all I will do for a week: clean. But my sister always has to mess it up again. Whatever! I will figure out something. I will hang up these signs and put them on both sides of each door in the house. They will say:

1. Put your trash in the trash can.
2. Put your clothes in the hamper.
3. Clean up after yourself!

It sounds really stupid. I might not even put that. I might write something totally different. But I will figure out something. I WILL figure something out….

I’ve been cleaning all day! This is a big step in getting the house clean! When mom gets home she’ll be like, “Wow! Nice job!” I’ve realized that cleaning isn’t bad or un-fun…If you look at the mess in the right way, you’ll have it cleaned up in no time! And that book that I bought the other day is really helping. It has a system that really works for me! I bet it works for a lot of people. It really makes sense…not like those other books that tell you you’ll get it ALL done in one day. Hello? It takes a long time to transform your house from dirty to clean. There’s all this stuff that isn’t supposed to be there and you have to get rid of it….blah blah blah…I mean, there’s a lot to do to make your house clean. You have to sell some stuff, give away some stuff, throw away some stuff, organize, and sometimes repair parts of your house..like that hole in the ceiling….What I am trying to say is, it’s unrealistic trying to transform your house in one day. Way unrealistic! So, now that I know cleaning takes a long time I will accept that and clean everyday until I’ve transformed my house. My sister really wants a yard sale. I hope we’ll have one someday….
