move to the beach

It’s been 2 years since I wrote this entry and so much has happened since then. I moved to Sydney and lived in Manly, a beachside community on the Northern Beaches for a year and lived in a spot so close to the ocean, you could smell the salt in the air and hear waves lapping from the window that brings in the seabreeze. It’s terrific, wonderful and totally unforgetable. I’m not back in the midwest upon the completion of my assignment in Sydney but will never forget what it’s like to be near the ocean. I’m going to move back, soon….

I love the beach, the sea, the sun and the sand. I’m very much a SoCal girl, who is unfortunately stuck in the midwest without any body of water. The only thing keeping me here is my job which is terrific, but I will eventually move to the beach. I’m giving myself 3 more years of waterless, beachless life before I’m leaving for sun, sand and surf. I can’t wait – I can hear the waves calling me and I must heed.
