This is just not going well. I had to take £10 OUT of my savings account so I would live to see this week. Ugh. I have £18 savings. Bad times.
I owe my savings account £100 from the money Grandad gave me and I’m gonna try and put at least £10 in each month. So it’ll take me a long time to get to £1000, but I’ll see how it goes.
I realised last night that come June, I’m not going to be getting any money from my parents or anyone. I’m gonna have to make all my own money! I’m gonna have to move out probably, find a studio flat or something, somewhere cheaper than where I’m living now! HOW EXCITING! I’ll only be 19! This is so exciting. And will be such a challenge for me, since I’m pretty spoilt. I’m going to have to get like 3 jobs and it’s gonna be great =D So yeah, saving for emergencies is essential =)
Grandad saved all his 5ps since 1997 and the other day he gave me may share of the total! He gave half to my sister and half to me BLESS! =D It came to £125 each, not bad! I spent £25 of it today =( On xmas presents though, so you know. I paid the other £100 in to my current account, and when I get back to my laptop I’m gonna open an internet savers account with Lloyds and transfer the £100 into that. The Lloyds internet saver is good too because whenever you use your current account debit card it rounds the total up to the nearest £ and puts the difference into the saver acocunt =) Awesome! I think my old plan for a system should go out the window and this account will just be random savings which I try really hard not to dip into =)
BUT! This is an important one. Also, it should be interesting, since I have literally no money at the minute, so it’ll be good to see how long this takes me while still spending money on living and stuff. Cool! I will put it into one of my savings accounts so I don’t spend it, too =) Yay!
