Omggggggggg, yay!!! Chris surprised me yesterday by taking me to an Ingrid Michaelson concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D I still can’t believe it. It was SO AMAZING. Seriously. I didn’t die of happiness, like I said I would, but I nearly cried in parts. It was so good! She got us to sing along, clap along, she performed a song she just wrote the other day and had never performed before, aaaaand it was her first ever headlining show in the world ever!!! She sang Edelweiss and other Sound of Music classics, and songs from Mary Poppins and Oliver, and did a smashing British accent! She sang some songs from Girls and Boys and some from her new album, some which I hadn’t heard before and LOVED. How exciting!
There were 3 support acts who were really good too =) Not a patch on Ingrid though. She couldn’t afford to bring her whole band over from America, so it was just her and Allie her backing singer and guitarist, and Ingrid playing the piano =D It was SO GOOD. She told us stories about each song and was so chatty and everything! Was a really small venue, The Water Rat Theatre near Kings Cross station, so we got reeeeally close for Ingrid’s bit, I think we were about 3 rows back!
It was also really romantic, going with Chris =D Aww it was so nice. The Way I Am is sort of our song, so we were clapping along and stuff and singing and yay =) And he kept kissing me all through the show and stuff and I was like AWW best night ever.
God I love that boy so much it’s getting ridiculous.
