I’m still learning to balance out careful planning with living in the moment. And that can be a hard line to draw. But those who are important in my life are helping me to worry less about what’s coming, and enjoy the now.
In my mind, the big issue is differentiating planning and preparing for the future, versus simply ‘dwelling’ on the future.
Hopefully this helps someone!

My job requires me to micro-analyze everything that will happen in a month. It’s literally my job, and I do it for an entire department of roughly fifty people.
When things get hard, it’s really difficult not to do the same thing. I have to stop spending so much time analyzing and dwelling on the bad things that exist right now, otherwise I’ll never enjoy the NOW.
If anyone has thoughts or suggestions on this, I’m always looking for input. I’ll definitely be checking back here regularly.
