while it seems like we haven’t been doing much, we actually have, but most of them involve bringing the baby along. we still have lots of fun, but they are more like family days and less like dates. we also get some alone time at home and while we can’t really go anywhere, we do take advantage of the peace and do in-home activities together almost on a daily basis. while, we aren’t getting to go out on our own very often, i think we’ve been doing a good job keeping our relationship alive and interesting!

SO, last night my mom watched the baby and my hubby and i went out for dinner and a movie. BUT! instead, my husband drove me to the jewelry store and he said, “pick something.” i was shakey, nervous, excited, about to cry, in disbelief, and confused. hahaha! so he bought me a lovely diamond ring. which we then didn’t have much time for a movie, so we went for dinner, then went back to the jewelry store to pick up my present which needed to be resized.
good date, i say!!! goooooooood date.
we ended the night watching the first season of harvey birdman. nice.

so last night we ventured off to west lancaster, CA for the final night of Honda’s musical road. Honda contracted the road to have groves on it, so that when you drove over it, it would play the theme to the lone ranger or something like that. it was for some commercial thing. so we grabbed some ice cream and some very unhealthy fast food and drove to the road, waited on a long line of cars, and then sped along a dark and empty road and in fact listened to the theme of the lone ranger. i have to say, it was pretty anticlimactic and quite short. but getting out of the house was fun and we had a few good laughs. i’m glad we went simply to say we went so that in the future if someone ever brings up the musical road thing, i can say, “yeah, been there, done that, wasn’t fantastic but a neat thought.”

we barely got to spend much alone time together, but when we did, we savored it.
65. first off, from monday to thursday we spent every morning together for breakfast. it was a good, quiet, romantic way to start the day.
66. on monday, we walked around narragansett, RI, enjoyed the cool waters of the beach, hung out at a park, and visited old favorites in wakefield, RI. all on foot. talk about throbbing and swelling feet! but worth it!!
67. on wednesday, we spent about 4 hours soaking up the sun on a sailboat off of jamestown, RI. marvelous….
we also spent a lot of alone time in the car as we drove around town to reminisce of the old times and see what rhode island has turned into since we’ve been gone. did lots of talking. the really really good kind. makes me happy.

so yesterday i finally made it to the acupuncturist where i was treated for insomnia and then given a delightful pregnancy massage. i felt like a million bucks afterwards! we ate at the all-you-can-eat sushi and then grabbed some frozen yogurt at Berry Star, then we walked the mall till we were pooped and came home. it was a good day.
