I decided to do one extra Freecycle donation for good luck! I put together a collection of body soaps and lotions I didn’t need, along with a sample of Coco Chanel perfume I got at Macy’s.
It turned out a lot of people wanted this Freecycle item—but I ended up selecting a nurse who donates these items to a local homeless shelter. However, I made her promise to keep the Coco Chanel for herself!

I just offered 2 large black ceramic lamp bases. These were leftover Florida casualties that needed rewiring. However, someone was glad to get them! :-)

I just put up some more Freecycle posts. This one was for my very first laser printer, an old Lexmark compact model. Wow, did I sure love that printer! However, it’s time to let go—I have a great color one now and someone could use this black and white model I’m sure.

I just offered a small black Nine West brand handbag.
This time, I wrote a funny ad, explaining that the bag was just big enough for a mobile phone, a coin purse, a lipstick and a night on the town! (phone, coin purse, lipstick and fun not included!)
We’ll see who wants it momentarily, I’m sure!

Today, I offered a small jewelry box on my local Freecycle. It stands upright about 10 inches high and maybe 4 inches wide. It has a sliding door and plenty of ring slots on one side, and there are necklace hooks on the other. This is a spinning model that sits on a pedestal, and it is done in light brown wood finish.
The neat thing about this is that it doesn’t take up a lot of table space since it is oriented vertically instead of horizontally.
I remember getting this at a garage sale in Florida years ago, and I meant to use it but never did. I recently found it stuffed inside some of the last boxes I recovered from my Florida move. I decided to go through the last three boxes with the help and support of my sweetheart man.
I found some memories, both good and bad, and sorted piles for keeping, giving away and throwing away. (mostly throwing away) I’ll do a few more Freecycle posts, and he will take care of garbage patrol after I go to work tomorrow.

A week or so ago, I was cruising the Freecycle list and saw something that I actually wanted – some shoes! A nice lady had some new brown Keen sandals, and my sweetheart man was terrific enough to pick these up for me.
The nice lady even threw in another pair of shoes as a surprise, a pair of pretty pink multicolored slip-ons. Unfortunately, neither pair seemed to fit me right. :-(
However, I decided that the best thing I could do was Freecycle these again! I posted on my local list, and in less than 10 minutes, these were claimed. I’m just getting ready to put these out on my front porch for pickup.
Yay Freecycle!

Resurrection!
It’s been a while, and it’s a little late for Easter (or early for next year!), but I have decided to resurrect this goal and my 43T entries.
Since my last Freecycle posting, I have donated these items:
- A rolling microwave cart (#30)
- Lots more boxes (#31)
- A dining room chandelier (#32)
- A set of two front porch lights (#33)
- A small ceiling hall light (#34)
- A ceiling fan (#35)
- An all-in-one Canon printer (#36)
- A rolling office chair that I got off someone’s curb (#37)
- Two (2) tomato plants that I gave to another Freecycler when I went to dig up some of his flowers (#38)
I’m getting closer! :-)

My sweetheart man suddenly called out to me as we were rounding the corner to our home.
“Do you want a horse?”
I was confused but intrigued since the house is jam-packed with cats, a dog and a plan for another dog. However, being the animal person I am, I immediately gave an answer.
“YES!”
To my surprise, there was a large stuffed horse, complete with a bridle, saddle and fluffy mane, sitting abandoned at the curb next to someone’s trash can.
The car was parked and we began walking briskly down my hilly driveway to the street to inspect our potential find. The horse definitely looked used with a few snags in its fur, but there were no rips, stains or holes. The saddle even had two metal stirrups that were in great condition with no rust.
I knew I couldn’t let this fine toy go to the trash, and all it took was a “look” before my fella was hoisting this 40+ lb. horse up our hill.
The picture shows my 80 lb. Labrador Retriever for scale, and of course my sweet man’s arm.
Now lies the dilemma—what to do with this horse?
Keep?
Freecycle?
Sell?
Donate?
Something else?
I’m looking for opinions, so please respond all you like!

- Whimsical creamer and sugar set, from the Kitchen Collection – colorful cermaic matched set in box
- Decorative hammered brass vase, approx. 11 inches in height
- Blue leather organizer wallet on a strap, Buxton brand, never used
- Ceramic holiday mug still in box
- Cat litter drawstring pan liners, approx. 20 in the box
- Tin of assorted costume jewelry, mostly matched sets of earrings and a few brooches – approximately 25+ pairs of earrings in a variety of colors
