I don't know what I'm doing wrong 2 years ago

Over Christmas vacation I tried to learn to knit. I always did great until I got to the second or third row and had to turn around. Then the whole thing would get messed up, I would start over, and the same thing would happen. I did it 10 times and then learned to crochet. :)
