sad to say, but Will Shortz decided my crossword was good, but the theme was weak, so it was declined for the NY Times. Boo. I got an email from his assistant, and she thanked me and said better luck next time. She actually commented on something I had written in the submission letter, about having seen the movie Wordplay with Will Shortz. Very cool. I’ll change it a bit and send it to a less prestigious paper. Oh well, it was worth a try.
