register my car

The salvage inspection went fine. But then they said 30 days for the title. So we got that woman who helped us to expedite it. I registered the car yesterday!

So the stress has been mounting since my classes are starting in less than 2 weeks and I need my car. So my dad decided to get on the phone and find someone who could help. He contact the local politico office who put him in touch with the local DMV overseer. After several phone calls and some faxing I found out the date of my appointment! Unfortunately it was on my first day of class so I called the number the awesome woman that helped us gave me and got it rescheduled for January 22nd and 9:30am! Progress!

I sent in the paperwork a month ago and still have not received an appointment for my car. I just want to get the stupid thing registered! I’m paying the insurance for months now on a car I can’t legally drive! Soon my classes are gonna start back up and I cannot carpool again.

Still trying to get the paperwork together for my $200 salvage exam…apparently “reconstructed” translates to “stolen” in NY. The rest of the registration paperwork is done! But I am at the mercy of the state for an appoinment. Wish me luck!
