progress and apprehension

A lot has happened in two years but on this front here it goes. Last year i got laid off and was unemployed for a short time. This was in the time leading up to me moving and i did find a job in my new town. However, that job sucked so i quit and went to a temp agency and started a new job a week later. I really like it here and though i am still a temp i should know in about five weeks if they will be hiring me on which i think they will. Better pay and benefits and hours and i like it so heres hoping!

Sent out resumes to a couple places, hoping to get an interview at least. In the meantime, researching more and more places to apply.

ideas

i have a list of a few temp agencies to check out. i simply need to make more money so that i can work less.

application follow-up

well, i forgot to mention that i called and found out they are only hiring full time. at the moment that doesn’t work. so that’s a wash.

Application finished.

I’ve filled out an application for another job. I’ll follow up this week to see how it goes. If it goes no where I’ll keep looking because even though I like most of the people I work with, it is still just too much bs.

Challenge!

My boss’s crankiness and crappy attitude have not improved and I don’t see things changing. Not to mention the high rate of turnover means constant changing of higher ups (district leaders, reagional leaders, oh, and the CEO!) Some of the reasons I got this job in the first place are no longer there (like flexible hours). I don’t want to be stuck having to work Christmas Eve or Day again, since my family lives out of state. The only way around that is a change of vocation. I think I will have time over the summer to complete this goal.
