I took a big step in the right direction with this one recently. I finally put my new bookshelves together and put all my books on them. They look so great! I might add another smaller shelving unit to go with it, but for now, I’m feeling so much better just having that part of my life look more organized. Books look so beautiful when they are just placed on a shelf in a rather uniform fashion. I break out into a broad smile every time I see them. :)

So I completed only about 2 or 3 of the tasks I had planned. I’m not going to focus on the negetive though. I have been good about throwing stuff out as it comes in. For example, went to a scrapbook convention and didn’t save the big book that I got. I threw away most of the business cards after I entered them in my favorites list. These are the kinds of things I usually find years later. I also through out the Christmas cards from 2 years ago finally. None of the big projects have really been completed, like the garage clean out, but I have been feeling rather unmotivated to complete it. I think mostly ‘cause I have no space inside the house for anything. This is not entirely my fault; I’m living with the folks again and one is a hoarder with a capital H. This is why I have to focus on the positives like reducing MY clutter a little each week. :)
I have so much clutter! I’ve been wanting to reduce the amount for years now and I have thrown out 2 dumpsters worth of stuff last year and the year before. It felt good, but there’s still a lot to go through. I’ve never really thrown anything out in my life. I still have school work from elementary school! I’m 25 years old for goodness sake! Oh well. I’ve started by coming up with projects I want to complete this year and writing out plans for them. I’ve already started on my first project before the deadline! Whooo! I’m making myself do things slowly and I plan on rewarding myself when the jobs are completed. Some of the projects will take several rewards, but I’m going to remind myself that it’s ok. I deserve a reward. Ok. That’s an intro into that one for ya!
