see the Democratic Party reinvent itself and take back America!

The Democratic National Convention was last week and I watched a bit of the coverage. I have fallen in love with Michelle Obama. Seriously, she’s fantastic. She seems so normal and well spoken. Love! Of course, her husband gave a fantastic speech as well. I am excited for the upcoming election. Who knows? Maybe after November rolls around I’ll be able to mark this complete. Wouldn’t that be something?

I’m getting fired up again and it’s not even an election year. One evening, I turned on The Daily Show, followed by Real Time, and then the movie Left of the Dial. All in one night. All back to back. It was soooooo much liberal goodness. Now, with the election of a new ultra-conservative pope, I’m feeling fear again. If anyone has a plan for what one can do now to get people thinking, let me know. It’s truly frustrating for me to just sit back and only try to convince people I know that we need a change. Plus, they seem to agree so there isn’t a lot of convincing to be done! :)

I’m a big supporter of 3rd parties here in America. However, I was a John Kerry supporter early on and went so far as to sign up to help his campaign. I still get the emails from him too! I still can’t believe Bush won. sigh I get so emotionally involved with politics that I was wrecked on November 3rd.

Anyway, I’m hoping to get more involved with the Democratic Party by the next election. I’m still a fan of third parties, but with the way things have been going, I can’t afford to continue with my crusade currently.
