My Cafepress store is about half-way finished, before I’ll do a “Grand Opening.” So, YAY!
Also, I finally submitted an application to iStockphoto tonight, so hopefully soon some of my photos will be for sale on that site, as well.

I’ve decided to set up a store at Cafe Press, to start working on this goal. I’ve uploaded two images so far, and set up some products. I’m waiting to go “live” with my store (in terms of posting the URL) until the test products I ordered arrive (I want to make sure the quality looks good before I suggest to people that they spend money in my store).
So, soon I should have this up and running.
This is something I’ve thought about for a long time – ways to start making money from my photography. This week, I started looking into some options, in particular finding a place to sell them online. Probably not a stock photo service (although I will still look into those. I’m sure I’ve got some photos which would be appropriate). Actually, I was thinking about doing something at DeviantArt, and maybe CafePress. It would be fun to see journals and mugs and things for sale with some of my photos. Plus, there are several which I think would be great for having printed and framed.
I’m also thinking about putting together a book of wildlife photos from Australia, and seeing about putting it up for sale via Blurb.com.
I’m sure other ideas will occur to me as I spend some time thinking about it. I’ve got the photos (and intend to keep taking more). It would be nice to use them for something more than just my enjoyment.
