read, read, and read some more

I have some time again to read a bit. Well, there always was time of course, but I was too stressed out and too tired as well to grab a book again. But now I have some more rest in my routine at home and can allow myself to read for an hour every now and again. And I love it. Sometimes I’m reading out loud to my son who mostly is falling asleep then. I guess we both get some rest like this.

I know, this actually doesn;t count, but I discovered audio books! I downloaded a few to listen to while I am nursing my baby. During this time I can’t do much but like this I still can listen to something nice and give my baby all the attention he needs. Great!

really works with books I just want to finish. I still get what’s written, although I don’t really get all the very fine details but I’m also not missing anything. So one of those boring books is almost done now. Yippieh!

I don’t want to read that much anymore. I still have three books lying around, which I don’t want to pick up – they are so boring! But it keeps on nagging at me, that I should finish at least two of them before the other books arrive. Let’s see… Maybe I’ll just do it portion-wise with all the books (50 pages of this one and then I have the rest of the day “off for something else).

At first I thought of waiting with ordring new books until I had finished the three other books I still haven’t finished just yet. But it was itchings so much… So I ordered 9 new books of which only three are more trivial novels and the rest is more classic english/american literature. I used to read a lot of the old german literature and thought it now also interesting to read some more classics. I’m soooo looking forward to receiving this little package.

So far, so good! I just finished the fifth book I started this year and it also gives me a little break from running around the house. Nice! I hope it continues this way – and that I won’t run out of books any time soon…
