Since my son was born my life almost can’t be slower. Not that it’s bad – I like it like this. He has his rythm and I have to follow it.
Finally I can appreciate this rythm and also get somre rest out of it.

I’m taking some rest. I know, one of my goals is to finally stick to my to-do-lists and I have trouble sitting still. But I feel that I am feeling much better and am also more effective when I have taken some rest. Yesterday I had the day off, did a few things and then took a break with a cup of tea and a nice journal. After doing some more work I lay down for a nap and read a bit and still had some time afterwards to finish my homework and do some cooking. It was an effective day and I wasn’t all tired in the evening – that’s how it should be, right?
This is quite difficult since I almost can’t sit still right now. There’s so much to do at home and also at work. I am almost running every day to get things done in time (well, not really running with thathuge belly of mine, but I’m doing my best…).
The meditating-goal is making me taking time to get some rest, focus and to really slow down. But I have to work on that some more.
Since my little accident I had to slow down. I had to wait for people to help me or to just give in to…not doing soemthing I normally would feel like doing. It feels great!
So far this goal os not really working at all. In one moment I am realizing being hectic and slow down to get things done properly rather than in time. The next moment I am running somewhere to be somewhere else. Have to work out of what to do and what to leave for later.
I am a very hectic person. As hectic as my father is. And he always told me to slow down: If you want to do something very fast, do it very slow. To avoid making mistakes and to have to do things over and over and over again. I have to admit that meditating helps a lot. Or to do something as focused and slow as possible. But neither my father nor me can manage at all times and things just keep going wrong AND take too much time. I hope I can manage some day to stay focused and to not panic and be hectic – to just slow down in time.
