I already went through all the boxes, and have only 4 boxes of books to give. Second round I will check the remaining boxes to fill at least four more of books to give…

I’m classifying my books in three categories: Books read or unfinished, books not read, and books to give. I have five boxes for each of the first two categories, and last week I finally filled a whole box of books to give. It’s going slow, but steady, and that’s what’s important.
Last week I decided to get rid of half my books. I know, it’s a pretty radical decision, considering how attached I seem to be to them, but I must. Clutter is clutter. If my books are trapped in boxes, not being read; or some of them read, but not interesting enough to warrant a second reading; I must get rid of at least half of them. Time to bless someone else with my overflow of books…
...I started going through my boxes of books, just one at a time, and sorting them somehow. I’m having some difficulty because I can’t seem to let go of as many books as I would like. I recognize that I’m too attached to what they
represent(ed) in my life. What matters, for now, is that at least I finally started this project.
I have WAY too many books. I started organizing them in boxes, and sorting them to check which I should keep, and which ones should go. I plan on donating some of them to the local library, and only keep those books that I would love to read again someday. Others I could sell.
