Find new (to me) music I love

I was at the mall the other night and heard what I later learned was probably the Justice remix of this song, and it interested me enough to hang around the store to finish listening to it. I made it a point to remember some of the lyrics, jot them down later and google them up.

(This album is on LP I see; much preferred to so many CD recordings nowdays which are overcompressed and squashed to smithereens, taking half the life out of the recording. This assuming the LP recording hasn’t been subjected to the same treatment.)
This is a great example of one sort of music I’m wanting more of. It’s also a reminder of the long-time frustration I’ve had with discovering new and recent music. If this got any radio airplay, it’s highly unlikely to have been around here. We have a pretty crappy radio market here in town, crowded airwaves notwithstanding. My only means right now is to run across them by chance, like what happened here.

A recent example: The KLF: The White Room – yes, the 1991 album known for “3 A.M. Eternal”. This album has been in regular rotation since I got it a couple months ago (apart from the Christmas season when that music was at the forefront); I should have gotten it back in 1991/92 and I would have enjoyed it all this time since. My favorite songs have been “No More Tears” and “Justified And Ancient” although I rank most of the album highly.
