I know it’s not good for me amd I know it makes me feel lousy but I still do it! Why?
Not as much as I did in the past, I grant you, but still too many times.

I have discovered I am intolerant to some foods – garlic, corn, broccolli, cabbage, cauliflower, sprouts among others, but also due to a suspected ‘leaky gut’ have been recommended to eat a wheat-free, dairy-free and reduced sugar diet. I have done this strictly for 8 weeks (and enjoyed what I ate!) and know it works, however, sometimes I sabotage myself and have those foods I shouldn’t have – and suffer.
What is it about us that makes us sabotage ourselves in the pursuit of pleasure – however momentary it is? The pleasure lasts seconds or no more than minutes, but the suffering goes on much longer.
