The best day!!!! I did an appraisal inspection at 9:00 and Mr. HC came with me. He helped me get through it quickly as I had signed up for a workshop which started at 10:00.

The workshop was at Southwest Gardener which is a place I like to go to onccasion. Mr. HC had never been there, not that it is a place that he would necessarily like hanging around. After he dropped me off and I had given him the grand tour, he left me there and I was to call him when I was done and he would come back and get me. He had big plans to go to boat shops and hiking shops and the like. Gardening and art projects were not inreresting to him yesterday.

After a few hours . . . he showed up. I guess he wasn’t having as much fun as he thought he would or else he just missed me ;)

He ended up having lunch at the Original Hamburger Works which is in the same building as Southwest Gardener. He got to hang out at the bar and eat a hamburger and talk about manly things or what ever it is that men do when they hang out at the bar drinking beer and eating burgers.

When he had tired of that, he came and sat with me as I worked on my project which ended up being awesome, becasue he was able to cut some washers that I wanted to use in an altered state, but my hands weren’t strong enough to do it myself and he stripped this mother of pearl from a braclet that I wanted to use. I wanted the mother of pearl inlay, but not the actual bracelet. It was nice having him there. The work shop was outside, but in a shaded patio area and the weather was surprisingly nice.

Afterwards, we went to Cabellas and looked at their boat stuff and (I know this is funny) went to IHOP to eat pancakes for dinner. Came home, watched a movie and hung with the dogs. It was the perfect Mr. & Mrs. HC day!!!

Today at COSTCO we found the cutest little camping stove and oven to install in the sail boat.

It’s almost like a big girl’s easy bake. I am so excited!!!

My BFF’s daughter is having her first baby. Tonight was the “gender reveal” party. She had a doctor”S appointment on Tuesday and the technician put the results in a sealed envelope which Becky gave to her sister in law who makes cakes. The sister in law made a cake and brought it to the gender reveal party .

After pizza Becky and Jeremy cut the cake and we all found out that the baby is a boy. (the cake was blue inside) It was kinda fun and I was happy to be with my friends and included in their family gathering.

I have had this pair of jeans draped across a chair for the longest time. They are too big and I have been meaning to take them to Goodwill, but just havn’t gotten around to it. This morning I needed a pair of jeans, but had not done the laundry so I had none that were clean. I decided that I would just throw these other ones on and even though they are too big, it would be O.K. for now.

They have been there for MONTHS!!!! I found $12.00 in the pocket!!!!!

They were clean, so the $12.00 had gone through the washer and dryer who knows when. Good thing I hadn’t gone to Goodwill yet.

Kind of blustery out today. Put a soup together for tonight’s dinner using left ober veggies from yesterday. Realizing that this time Friday (March 1) I will be in New Orleans!!!

Cooking all afternoon with my BFF Sheila. We made cornish pasties. Her husband loves them . . . my husband hated them. I sent them all home with her. In addition to spend the whole afternoon with her, we ended up with a gazillion veggies left over that I divided up for soups and stews for a later date.

We should have bought our airline tickets to New Orleans last summer, but we dicked around and didn’t do it and of course, the fares have been going up and up the closer we got to the day we have to leave. Last week they were up to $1200. So I am frantically trying to get our ducks in a row to get the tickets. I checked yesterday and the fares had backed off slightly. they were $1100 yestreday. Still, no ducks in a row.

Today I checked . . . $960. Got my ducks together. Bought the tickets!!!

I see a post card from New Orleans in T.G.’s future!!!
