In 2012 I'm a gonna make that backyard my bitch!

Tore into the neighbors way overgrown trees tonight that drop crap in our Koi Pond and pool and just generally irritate us. Looks wierd now, but will be better in a few weeks and we won’t have to do it for another couple years.

I found the perfect patio tree at Home Depot. It finishes off the patio nicely. On to the next section of the yard . . . oh boy!

I was not certain that I had placed the hummingbird feeder in a good spot last week, but I thought I would leave it be and see what happens. I checked it a few times during the week, but wasn’t sure they had found it.

Today I was on the patio reading and I noted that the hummngbird feeder was busy all day. There are two hummingbirds. One with a red throat and one with a green throat. I am pretty excited!!

today. Nothing earth shattering, but it gave me a chance to take inventory of what I have and what I might do with it . . . use it or toss it mostly.

I have a hummingbird feeder outside my office window which faces to the street; however, there is a hummingbird that is always in the back yard by the water fall at the fish pond. He/She drinks from the water fall, but I had yet to put up a himmingbird feeder near the pond.

Over Christmas, my friend Rob was given a hummingbird gift basket by one of his clients. It was a gift that was given to her and she regifted it to him and he regifted it to me. This is where it belonged!!! (at my house)

I opened it today. It is awesome. It has a hummingbird feeder, nectar, a hummingbird windchime, a hummingbird seed mix (seeds that you plant to attract hummingbirds) and a pretty nice book about hummingbirds in general. (Types of hummingbirds, how to attract them etc)

Come on little hummingbird . . . tell your friends about my backyard!!!

“Do a little in the Garden each day” That was pretty mamby-pamby. I need to get moving big time on this before the summer gets here and I do nothing on acounta the oppressive heat here in Phoenix

No more of this “do a little each day” stuff. This back yard is gonna be my bitch (although it will be a nice and comfortable and kinda pretty bitch) . . . starting tomorrow!!!
